Applying false eyelashes at home can seem intimidating if you haven't done so before. Although, it is actually much easier than you think! All you need is the right tips and tricks to feel confident in applying them! I mean, to be able to look fabulous any day and anytime without the having to hire a makeup artist is a huge plus, right?
Without further ado, here is my step by step on how to apply false lashes! Tools Needed -One Pair of Ojitos Bonitos lashes
-Lash Glue of your choice -Tweezers or Lash Applicator(Optional) Step One - Open Up A Pair
Open a pair of Ojitos Bonitos lashes and carefully remove one eyelash strip from the box. Step Two - Check For Fit
Make sure they are a proper fit. To learn how to properly fit your eyelashes, please read my blog post, How To Trim False Lashes At Home. Step Three - Apply The Glue Hold the eyelash close to base and make sure it is horizontal. Then, apply the lash glue by holding the wand vertically. Run the wand back and forth to ensure that you have a nice, thin, and even layer from corner to corner. If your glue comes in a tube, squeeze a little out onto a clean surface and apply to the lashes using the back of tweezers. This prevents squeezing the glue all over the eyelashes and essentially ruining them. Step Four: WAIT
This is a huge step! Wait around 30 seconds (or as directed on your lash glue packaging) for the glue to get tacky. When you apply the glue once it is tacky, it ensures that your lashes will adhere much easier. You won't have the lashes sliding around or glue dripping into your eye. Step Five: Apply The Lashes Look closely in the mirror and hold the eyelashes close to your eye while you assess where you want to place them. Then look down with your eye (but do not close) and place the lash strip as close to your natural lash line as possible. Always glue on the center first, then stick on side to side. Usually looking straight into the mirror after applying it to the center makes it easier when adhering the sides. *Pro Tip: You can pinch your natural lashes with the false lashes to blend them together and pull the lash strip closer to your natural lash line! *Pro Tip: Use your fingers as tweezers! Gently grab, pull, and manipulate the lashes to adhere close to your lash line. You can also use tweezers or a lash applicator if you find it necessary.
That's it! Now you will be applying false lashes like a pro!
